| The Rodeo | The same gentleman who sold the canyon
property to me later invited me to attend the El Paso Rodeo. I gladly
accepted, attended the Rodeo Parade, and went to that night's show.
I took a LOT of pictures, that night and the next day; so many that I'll
have to split them up onto separate pages.
I did encounter one problem taking the photos; even with 800-speed film, in the indoor arena, my zoom lenses were thoroughly inadequate for the action photos I needed to take. Luckily, I'd brought with me a couple of my bright portrait lenses. I used an 85mm f/2 lens for most of the photos. Still, it meant I was limited as to how close I could zoom in on the action. That's why you won't see any high-resolution shots on these pages. |
