The
Canyon |
In early '99, I bought a quarter
section (1/4 square mile, 160 acres) about 20 miles out of town.
I'm planning on putting a house down in it; it'll be a few years 'til I
can save up that sort of money. Until then, here's some photos from
down inside. |

From the approach to the canyon, here's a shot of a mountainside, blooming
with flowers. One bunch can be seen close up, to the bottom left. |

This shot shows an arroyo down the center of the canyon. It is
a 10% grade, which accounts for all the rocks sitting scattered down the
way. It's amazing how much energy water flowing downhill can have. |

A vertical shot up the canyon wall, showing the work of water over
eons. For scale, the chollo cactus, on top of the cliff and on the
right hand side, is about 9' high. |

This photo, from up the West-side hill, shows some of my neighbors,
as well as the dirt road into the property. |

A
panoramic image, formed by combining 15 separate photographs. It
came out WONDERFULLY... |
